Are you over 55 and seeking low-impact exercise in a friendly, pleasant environment?
Consider joining the Nelson Bay Golf Club Men’s Veterans (Vets) golf group. We play a 9-hole competition each Monday and Thursday commencing at noon.
Players well into their nineties are still enjoying a round of golf. Nelson Bay Golf Club has ample carts available if you are less mobile. Members range in ability from former club champions to those who played their first game of golf when they joined the Vets. New members are made welcome, and friendly advice is always available.
Handicap and bonus point systems allow all members to be competitive and win prizes regularly.
Joining Vets Golf is a great way for retirees or men who have recently moved to the area to meet and enjoy the company of a group of people with similar interests.
Social activities are held after the Monday competition. Friendly banter and the chance to win a raffle prize make this get-together most enjoyable. Novelty events are held throughout the year, and the combined presentations and Christmas lunch/dinner are annual events.
Nelson Bay Golf Club has a special category of golf membership (Social Playing Member), which allows participation in the Vets competition and club social membership privileges.

Becoming a member of Nelson Bay has never been easier. Various categories of golf memberships allow you to match the cost with your use of the course. All golf memberships provide access to the club house facilities 7 days per week.
